I'm seeking a third term on the Albert-Eden Local Board, where I've had the privilege of serving for six years, including as Chair. My husband and I have lived here for over 25 years, raising our two children in a community we care deeply about. A proud alumni of ANI, Epsom Girls', and the University of Auckland (BSc), I bring leadership experience from my time at Parenting Place, where I developed strong skills in managing people, budgets, and resources. I believe in turning up, listening well, and working collaboratively. I'm practical, pragmatic, and committed to getting things done; from supporting flood-affected residents to protecting open space and character areas amid growth. I've stood up for local businesses, backed a balanced transport approach, and helped support Eden Park's financial sustainability. Albert-Eden deserves thoughtful, community-focused leadership, not top-down decisions. I'd be honoured to continue serving our neighbourhood. Vote Kendyl Smith and C&R.
