Hillpark local, Glenn Murphy's family ties go back generations. His Grandfather co-owned the mechanics on the corner of Weymouth and Great South roads, dating back to the 1940s. Now, Glenn's entire, ever-expanding, multicultural family, including all his grandchildren, live locally and Glenn and his wife also both work and actively serve locally within Manurewa.
Glenn, a founding Trustee of the Manukau New Life Community Trust, annually hosts the renown Manurewa Christmas in the Park, has provided meals and clothing for Manurewa families in need, weekly, for over a decade.
Glenn, a man full of action, loves learning languages, serving and meeting new people, self-funds annual trips during holidays to Tonga where he assists orphanages, schools, churches and charities, assisting people with disabilities as well as distributing food, clothing, medical equipment and sports gear to the poor and needy.
