The Licensing Trust is an important asset for the West and hopefully will survive for another 50 plus years. The Trust has a goal to give back to the community over $10 million dollars annually. I am a strong advocate of the Trusts; however, I believe it requires more transparency if it is to keep faith with the residents of West Auckland. The past couple of years with Covid will have created a headache for the management, but unlike many private bars and restaurants throughout Auckland, the Trust has continued to function. A credit to all concerned; now it needs to tell us and show us what generosity means without breaking the bank. The Trust needs team players, who understand business and community needs, vote for me, John Riddell, for transparency.
