I currently work in the Marine Industry for local and international clients. My family have lived in Panmure-Mt Wellington area for five generations, and I stood for MWaitākere Licensing Trust last elections. I am the current Chair of the Panmure Basin Advisory Committee, and President of the Panmure Historical Society, for which I project managed restoration of the Panmure Stone Cottage Museum.
I plan to restore the MWaitākere Licensing Trust assets to provide services for the local community. The Panmure Historic Hotel should again become a community hub, with bar, restaurant and music facilities, and the Landmark Bar re-opened as a vibrant venue. Waipuna Hotel needs to be restored to international standards as an accommodation, conference, dining and drinking destination. The Pensioners Christmas Lunch, Sportsperson of the Year, and King of the Mountain need to be re-instated.
